Hello! Thank you for visiting our website. KL Photographers was established in 1963 by Dennis & Delia Kay.
In 2014 Steve & Nikki took over the business after working for the Kay's for many years.
Nikki is now our main photographer, along with a strong team of second shooter and assistants.
Here is a bit about Nikki
Hi I'm Nikki, I have loved photography since I was a little girl, I had a fab little red 110 camera! I loved taking photos of anything and everything then. I still do but with a much bigger camera kit! My ambition is to make your wedding photography fun and relaxed, to capture all the emotion with style; ensuring you get photographs you will treasure. My photography is a balance of traditional images through to the candid moments. I will cover it all!
I chose to do my school experience with KL Photographers, in a fortnight I did a little bit of everything and I was hooked! After finishing my school and college years I worked behind the scenes of photography; printing in laboratories, whilst building my portfolio. I worked with a few photographers in the York area during this time, as an assistant, gaining experience in various fields. In 2014 the opportunity arose to buy KL Photographers with my partner Steve and we now run this business together.
My aim is to capture your special day in a fun relaxed manner and to do this I I believe it is important to work closely with my clients. I offer competitive packages without compromising quality. I pride myself on working as a full time professional photographer, building my business since 2005, I am fully focused on capturing your big day and not working around a day job.
